Swedish 6.5x55 Brass with wooden bullets
« on: December 20, 2007, 02:42:25 PM »
Hi
Has any one used swedish 6.5 x 55 rifle brass that had wooden bullets for reloading. If so what did you have to do to get the brass reading for reloading

I could be mistaken furface, but I believe those were Swedish military practice rounds and are Berdan primed, not worth the bother even if you could find some primers to fit, which also would not be easy. Shine a bright light into the fired case and if you see two small holes set off center instead of one larger hole dead center you have a Berdan primed case, but so far as I know, all the military brass was Berdan primed.
The story of David & Goliath only demonstrates the superiority of ballistic projectiles over hand weapons, poor old Goliath never had a chance.
