Hi yall this is the absoulte best site for information on the handi rifle's that i have came across.
i bought my wife a handi .243 for christmas and was wondering what type of ammunition that yall reccommend for south alabama whitetails. 200 yrd. shots will be common. right now i shoot remington core locts out of my remington .270. i was wondering if those are a good cartridge to use. then again i have heard alot about the federal fusion. thanks for yall's help. ;D

Either one should work fine.
Most guys are shooting 80 to 100 grain bullets at deer.
I would grab 2 or 3 different boxes and see what shot the best group.

My cousin bought the same gun for his wife.
Good shooter.
I have caught him carrying it instead of his bolt 7 mag.

I'm taking "my grand daughter's" out tomorrow. I'm using Winchester 95 grain Ballistic Silvertips right now. They are really accurate, but also really expensive. This one shoots fairly well with the Federal Power Shocks, also, cheapest ammo out there.

Welcome!! ;) Win Supreme 95gr Ballistic Silvertips, Federal Fusion 95gr or Power-shok 100gr would all be good choices to try in the .243, they all have a great reputation in Handis. ;)
