Encore multiplication - has this happened to you?
« on: November 20, 2007, 05:25:33 AM »
In September I bought a an Encore bull barrel in 223 Rem.  When I opened the safe yesterday there were 2 frames one as a pistol with a 460 S&W barrel on it and the rifle had 3 barrels next to it, a blue 209x50, a blue bull 25-06, and a standard stainless in 280AI shortened to 23 1/4 (no front sight holes) and 11 degree crown.  All that happened in TWO months!?!  Then there are rimfire and shotgun barrels too.  And I have a friend that wants to sell me his Contender.....

WHAT'S HAPPENING TO ME!!!!!!
I aim to please - but often miss.

It's a phenomenon called the "law of inanimate reproduction", and is very common among serious shooters (gun nuts).  If you put 2 guns together in a dark place (out of your wife's sight), you will soon have 3, then 4, etc.  Experts have so far been unable to determine the gestation period which seems to vary widely and cannot be observed visually.  It seems that switch-barrel guns are able to do this also!

I have never had this happen with an Encore.... but Contenders have been known to multiply rapidly in the confines of my safe.

A friend of mine tells me strange things happen in the dark within my safe...multiplication is widespread.

I now have a double wide (2-safes)!

Help me!

YES!!! Now they have created a new T/c Addiction group. It was recently expanded with the introduction of the icon and triumph. As far as safe multiplication they are spending thousands tring to make it larger This addiction will be coming to gun safes near you soon. PS we still haven't caught the handi addiction. Its much worse.

Yep, me too, I started with just buying a Encore 209x50 rifle a couple years ago and just last month a 15" 209x50 barrel showed up then some grips, scope, mounts....Then another stainless frame showed this Friday that just happened to fit the 15" barrel and grips.

OOF, I wonder what else will show up?

I hope that it is a .257 Roberts rifle barrel

A 300win mag came and so did a forearm, with scope and mounts 2 days ago by FedEx, Then UPS came with some Winchester supreme elite ammo. I wonder where the next one is going to show up?? ;D

It's a little known fact that clothes hangers, paper clips and gun barrels are made from the same metals.
