Yep! When I get in touch with my "feminine side", I call her on the phone. I call my "feminine side" Honey, aka Linda. She wears the dresses and earrings, and I do the boots and jeans. And the upside to all that is; our kids and grand kids can tell us apart, with no problems, and we do not have gender issues at our house.

I can't stand body piercings either. I'd love to have a big magnet on the ceiling at work, with me holding the control button. Punk walks in with rings in lips, nose, etc, ZAAAAAPPPPPP, I hit the button. I'd love it. POWDERMAN.  :D :D :D :D :D :D

My favorite comment to the folks that have facial piercings is "fishing accident?" It's unreal how few of them actually get it.
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.

Yes,,we should all look alike, dress alike, same hair cuts, same brand of jeans, exactly the same, same style of boots, exactly, and a Hanes t-shirt, not Fruit of the Loom for obvious reasons. The color of the shirt, not black, could be some nasty biker type, uummm, maybe white? Maybe a national dress code. Maybe international? The brand of jeans, only Wrangler or Lee, and I am not to sure about Lee. ;D :D ;D :D ;D :D ;)

 Jeepers, Cheesehead;

Your description sounds much like the Marxist/Socialist Utopia some liberals in this country would like to create here...

Remember how old Mao used to have everyone walking around in those fatigues with the little red star on their hat ?..It Seems lefties are like that  ?

Here in the states it would appear the lefties would like us all dressing like slobs, riding only bicycles, worrying about global warming, condemning the guy that
doesn't use efficient light bulbs (might drown Santa's deer), cozying with perverts, crying for no death penalty for killers..while advocating the execution
of about half of our pre-born boys & girls, kissing up to world dictators and worshipping at the feet of Darwin-Baal...

...Doesn't matter where truth is..these are the popular fads with the left..at the present time !

Meanwhile the biggest mouthed, leftist elites, fly around in their own personal jet planes, and ride in limousine entourages from mansion to mansion, making
eco-papal announcements on how the REST OF US should sacrifice...

Yeah, we're bad guys, daring to suggest what we think may or may not be a neat or manly appearance....

...But then, I must remember...."freedom of speech".. is one of the first things to go in leftist Utopias !
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)

Crustaceous:  are you really Wayne Newton????

And, if I knew then what I know now, I probably would have asked them to check my rear bumper and then had to call the police to report an unfortuante traffic fatality...............  Sorry.  Mikey.

ironglow, I think the Cheese is being some what sarcastic as to our view. Cheese, we are not advocating everyone dress like us. We are advocating SELF RESPECT, in that we not only be neat and clean, (unless working a nasty job), but dress like men, and women dress like women.

Well now. Seems my upbringing in the piney woods of East, by God, Texas was either a different country or universe than many here.
Boys that ol maryjane was a stock item around our parts---some of the older folks swore it would addict you too heroine--they didn't know that the seed had mutated and wouldn't do that anymore.
Like moonshine and moonshiner the law looked for em from the highway--didn't want too have too wash the car.
Our group was a bunch of good for nothin guys and gals that did just as mom and pop did when they were younger---ignored what folks thought and had fun. Now the Jane was not a new thing--it has been around and prospering for more than 70 years--according to my mom--and moonshine----
Well a story--
A friend of mine and I home from college and run into each other at the local roping. Decided we needed to visit and drink awhile. It was 10:30 or 11 and not enough time to get too a wet county so we opted for the local bootlegger.
It was a dark and stormy night---we all been there before---and the next day it was obvious that I was suffering. My mom asked what the problem was. I asked if she had ever had a hangover. She laughed an asked where I had gotten anything last night.
I said JimmyJoe and I drove to Miss Williams over at the trinity River bridge---my mom, wided eyed, asked---Is that woman still in business?
Yup boys, these things did---and do---take place, even in respectful, God fearing communities like yours and mine.
This Hippy generation is still alive and, I bet, there are more than one or two around here who did inhale.
Blessings

  Yes William;
I guess there are differences..Of course I'm a bit older than you are..but when I was that age the only ones we heard of that got caught smoking loco weed were
Hollyweird types and now and then, a professional musician..
As far as the drinking stuff goes, I did taste it when I was in high school (1954), probably 5 or 6 times..then decided I didn't need it and swore off the stuff for the
rest of my life...   Don't miss it a bit !

I can recall tasting beer when I was about 17, found out it tastes just about what it smells like ..and quickly lost interest..LOL

I used to have a little game I played with some of my fellow soldiers on payday..

I offered to save them a lot of money...  Instead of going to town and blowing half their pay, they could give me a $5 bill and I would tonk them in the with a rifle butt !

They could achieve the same effect..and save lots of $$$..

They claimed that German beer was pretty good..but to me, it smelled just as bad as the stuff around here !

I just don't like handing over my self control to some chemical combination...life can be trying enough without that !

Many years later I got saved...and I didn't have to break as many bad habits !....LOL

Hey since their campaign slogan in 88 was 2 for the vote of one doesn't that make her ineligible for election as she has already served 8 years as co president?

Now that's worth discussin!

By the way ironglow. I DID partake of the beer, but I would NEVER have considered goin home, and tellin my mother. My old daddy cut a wide swath when mad, and drinkin and hangovers weren't tolerated around the house. You had best stay under the porch until you felt PRESENTABLE. You made the best choice, but I was a slow learner, however by my mid twenties had long since given up the foolishness. I was raised here in north central Texas on the edge of east Texas, and we had our share of pot heads, but they were treated accordingly, and they quite thankfully were small in number.

Well--if you can't be honest with your mom.
Mine was a hard working independent LADY and the folks around me were the same--but they understood kids and life--they kept us in check--but they understood life.
We lost a few growing up--that is part of life.
We had those that strayed and came back--strayed and never came back--even some that never strayed--life is life.
I have many things for which I will eternally be ashamed--growing up and this subject is not one of them.
Do it again??? Probably!
I don't tend too represent myownself as other than I am or have been---what I have done is the past--dead and gone.
My friends, growing up, were mostly good solid folks---we are still friends--those that are still with us---those that were bad apples did not like our crowd,,,,but,,,,we had our moments and most of them we can laugh and joke about, even today.
I raised my kids the same way. i always told them that they could be honest with their feelings towards me---they did and they do, still. We don't let feelings get in the way when we communicate, My Mom was a champion in my book and that was the way she was.

I REMEMBER--
One Christmas back in '60---Tony Jernigan (real name-real person) came home from Texas A&M with his room mate.
It was a dark and stormy night.
Got to telling those boys about a man who had moved into a house out on the Bold Springs road with his two daughters. We said those girls liked to party. Tony wanted too meet up with them and we agreed to introduce them.
Said we needed to wait til later that night when their dad would be gone---done deal.
jimmy Windham and I left the group and got a 12 Gage and went to the old house----funny thing is it was a old house that Tony had put hay in that very same summer--and waited. I guess, in the heat, his mind had left his head and meandered too his pecker.
Up drove a car with the usual suspects inside.
We waited until they were on the door stoop and I yelled out--"are you boys here to see my daughters? It will be the last time!"
Windham lets loose with two shots from the shot gun.
Those two boys ran slap THROUGH a 3 strand barb wire fence--across the road and into the woods on the other side.
It took us three hours to get them out---AND-- I can't say that I blame them.
His mom and dad thought it was the funniest story and his dad would bring it up at the most inconvenient times.
