Encore Buffalo Classic

Has anyone ever put a long barrel and target sights on an Encore?  I'm thinking of a similar configuration to the 45-70 and 38-55 Buffalo Classics by H&R, a sort of an "Encore Buffalo Classic".  What barrel and sights, how did it shoot, comments?

I've got a 24" bull barrel on mine no sights.
I could see doing a 28" open sight barrel.
