New here.... and a few questions.
« on: December 09, 2007, 08:27:54 PM »
Hey folks,

I love this forum.  I have a corporate job that tries to suck the counry boy out of me, but reading this stuff takes me back to my roots.  So thank you all who are responsible.  I used to trap more some years back, now there just isn't much time.  I will, however, be returing home for Christmas for about five days.  I have a box trap, and three six inch leg traps.  I am thinking of putting a short line together.  A couple of weeks ago I shot some ducks from an amazing beaver swamp on our neighbors place.  I don't really have any traps that I think would be big enough for beaver.  Would it be worth making some snares?  I may try to call up a bobcat while I'm at it.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks

Trevor from Oklahoma

Trevor. If your footholds have a 6 inch jawspread, they can be used for a front foot catch on beaver. If snares are allowed, they will work also.
 Good luck.
