TC has totally dropped the ball on this one. The Rynite fore ends for the Contender are relly quite good and I like them fine. I tend to use them on light kickers and the Pachmayr on heavy kickers. Pachmayr has said they have no intentions of making grips and fore ends for the Encore so that's not an option.
You can go to wood either the factory wood or after market but I'm aware of no other options. Just one more reason I don't like the Encore and don't even own one anymore. Sold both of mine and have no plans to get another.

I had the same problem with a shotened 45/70 barrel, I forced some small washers just a little larger around than the holes and they havn't pulled through yet. KN

For one thing, perhaps your hinge pin is too small.
Also, perhaps this a matter which T/C would like to resolve? Have you discussed it with them?

Bellum makes an oversized hinge pin that will stay in place and can also help to increase accuracy.

Gramps, I have a small collection of those too. Aint worth the scrap metal price I could get for them! Just my opinion. KN.

PJ I think you can still but the Rynite encore forearm from Choate direct. Might want to try them. norm
