Shotgun Barrel Forcing Cone work?

  Magnaport lists a modification where they slightly lengthen and reslope the cone. Is this of any benefit? If so for shot only or slugs also?

This is a really good mod for shot loads.  I wouldn't do it on a rifled slug barrel.
