.460 vs .500

Wanting a big bore barrel for my Encore pistol and would appreciate any input on opinions of the 460 S&W versus the 500 S&W. I will be casting bullets and hand loading.

If you want flat trajectory, go with the 460.  Of course, with cast bullets the lower velocity will prevent flat trajectory.  There is more recoil with the 500 but, once again, if you're shooting cast bullets at lower velocities the recoil should be significantly less than with full house jacketed bullet loads.  So, it really probably doesn't matter which one you get.  I got both.
