Accuracy when changing barrels ?
« on: January 01, 2008, 08:18:56 AM »
I have an Ultra Varmint in .223 that will shoot under 1". I want to get a 20 ga. slug barrel, but am afraid the accuracy of my .223 setup will suffer changing back and forth. Do any of you regularly change barrels, and if so, does it hurt the accuracy?

I've never had a problem, it wouldn't be any different than removing the barrel for cleaning, I've done that a lot even tho I have a dedicated frame for each barrel. Having a dedicated forend for each barrel is a wise choice if you swap many barrels on one frame, you'll get a forend with the USH barrel. ;)
