New hunting Buddy
« on: November 12, 2007, 07:01:03 AM »
I had hunting dogs growing up coon hounds, beagles, squirrel dogs, fox hounds[yes we had a lot of dogs] got away from it  when life got busy, well  I was at a public hunting area last week and ended up setting on a pond bank and listening to a pair of beagles run in another section most of morning  kinda had relapse of hound fever so I did some looking and now have a beagle  just got to remember to be ready instead of just listening to the dog running He run the rabbit by and looked at me like you where suppose to shoot that when I run it by

Plumberroy,

I must say that you have a great looking dog there! I almost had to go look in my Hazel Kennel to see that she was still there! We have Three Beagles as well. Molly Ann, Hazel Delmar,And Ginger  Who's nick name right now is Legg's ! Molly And Hazel are sister,Molly being the runt of the family and look at her now ! She's my Molly, I tell everybody that , Molly has a face that "Only a mama could love" and then say "I 'm her mother and love her to death" :D They hunt rabbit's like no ones business, yes they are spoiled rotten but they are just like kids to me! The girls have ran a rabbit around 4 times and given the same look to us as well. It's Froghunter fail for missing the rabbit three time, I finally had to stop the chase by harvesting the rabbit. But hey they more than earn their keep with the enjoy and loyalty! Legg's is however what I call a jumper, she'll jump one and will let out a buff or two but I guess she expect the girls to run that rabbit for her while she goes on her marry way to other thing's! Anyway you have a great looking dog. Here is acouple photos of my dogs.

those are some nice  looking hounds. We have had dogs all a long, but there is some thing special about a hound .All though my wife doesn't hunt She is engaged in turning  him into a spoiled rotten hound. he was in the kitchen begging for  bologna just a minute ago He got his bologna before I got my fried bologna and egg samwich  See where I rate[lol]

Nice dog!  It brings back memories of rabbit hunting with my uncle's beagles.  He had one that if he ran two or three by you and you didn't hit it or shoot it he'd quit and head for the truck!   ;D
