45-120 project is nearing compleation need BPCR recomendations.
« on: December 19, 2007, 06:17:36 AM »
I have just finished re-chambering my BC to 45-120. I have been looking into smokeless loads but A5744 isn't available in NW Montana where I live. I'm thinking it might be fun to try my hand at BPCR and can buy Jim Schokey's Gold locally so I thought I would ask for any input anyone might have on this powder etc. Anyone with BPCR experience please jump in. I will be casting a 500 Gr pointed from my Lee mold to start with. Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas to all. - F50

Fanner, I think Tim is the only one around here that has 120 experience. I use 4759 in the .45-90. Check out the BPCR guys over at : http://www.bpcr.net/forum/
