News coverage of church shooting
« on: December 11, 2007, 04:46:20 AM »
This morning NPR ran a really long interview with the security guard who killed the gunman during the shooting spree at the New Life Church in Colo Springs. Being as it was NPR I suspect the only reason for running that interview is the fact that the guard was female with a law inforcement background. I wonder if they'd have interviewed Bubba Jones if he had intervened with his concealed carry weapon? ;D  NOT!!

The guard seemed extra religious, and often the liberal media likes to make them out to be weird.  Most people would say stuff like " I had no choice, my training came into use", etc.  But she was talking about how God was with her and telling her things, she was fasting to talk to God, etc.

That is so, and she also seemed extra "copish", loved being a cop, never wanted to be anything but a cop, etc. Turns out it was not her bullet which killed him, she riddled him and once down he shot himself.

Coyote
There seems too be some amount of anger with her in your reply---or is it Christianity??
I see nothing unusual about fasting and seeking the Lords face.
I do see something unusual about not fasting and seeking the Lords face.
Lots of cops are very devout Christians and always wanting too be a cop is not 1) unusual  2) bad/weird.
She shot him enough that he went down and the attacks stopped----who cares if it did not kill him.
Blessings

No anger here pard, just my observation and that was mainly about the unusual media coverage.  I do think there is a very big difference between being a cop and being obsessed with being a cop.
