The CZ550 American Safari 458 Lott

What is the biggest animal killed with this rifle?   I'm going to shoot an elephant in 09 with it if the good lord keeps me around that long.Coments are welcome. I've heard about the smallist

As far as I can tell the largest animal is an Elephant ,and there have been countless taken with .458's including the more powerful .458 Lott. I have only  shot an Elk with my CZ550 .458 Lott at 60 or 70 yards and it worked but the recoil was insane ,it is now a safe queen. have no fear a .458 Lott will do the job if you do yours. If I were you I would get a better set of iron sights and a brake to reduce recoil . plenty of big dangerous game has been taken with lesser calibers including elephants. also I would shoot at least a box of ammo through it B4 you go on your hunt .

Thanks for the info about the brake and to shoot it before going hunting.

I have a removeable brake on it. I have fired it about 100 times just so I know this rifles this and thats.
