Fur Harvesters Auctions have an on line pdf file on what they like to see in a finished pelt and how to take care of them.  The link is:

http://www.furharvesters.com/PDF/pelthandling.pdf

Some buyers will buy "in the round" or other words the whole animal.  "Green Hides" mean that the animal has been skinned but not stretched and dried.  Normally though if you are willing to put the extra work into the pelt you will make more money selling a "finished hide" or one that has been stretched and dried.  Hope that helps you out.  Check out the Fur Harvesters website, they have some other good tips on pelt handling.
Thanks,

The guys that I know that sell to fur buyers say the buyer prefers unskinned animals.  His reasoning is that he is an expert and you don't get that much more for skinning one.  I think they said they get around $20 for a Coyote and about $75 for a Bobcat.
There is a fur buyer in Falls City Ne, which is about 15 mi. from me that everyone uses.  When I get one I just drop it off to the kids that hunt them alot and they sell them.  I guess if I get serious I should sell some.  Gas money anyway.
