Introducing Myself and First Handi

Well, I bought my first HandiRifle (a 223 Ultra Bull Barrel). So far, I have shot some pretty cheap ammo (Wolf, Silver Bear, Monarch Brass and Remington UMC) with incredible results. All of them have shot 3 shot groups in less than 1-1.5 inches. The best has been the Wolf and Remington 55 grain hollow points. Though the Silver Bear 62 grain soft points have also shot well with groups less than an inch. The next factory loaded ammo I want to try is some Federal 69 grain ammo. I also reload and will be loading Hornady 53 grain HPs. I really love my Handi. I will probably get a shotgun barrel or a 30-06 barrel next.

TC , Welcome aboard , since you load give the 55 grain V-max a try too , they shoot 1/2" in my BB 223 .

Welcome dracphelan, Ain't it great to have a gun that shoots just as good or better than ones that cost 2x or even 3x as much.

Welcome Tim.   :D

This is a great place to kick off your shoes and stick around for a while.

Keep us posted when you get the .30-06 barrel.  By the way, you may stock up on the Federal Power Shok's.  They are still inexpensive and shoot great in every '06 I have, including the Handi.

Well I started reloading 3 years ago. And, my wife and I have a rule, we alternate firearms purchases. It's her turn next. She wants a Mossberg 500 20 guage synthetic stock (and to have me paint the stock pink for her). Part of the reason for me to get a Handi is to get around the alternating firearms rule. After all, the barrels are just accessories, right?   ;)
