What else can I do?

I have a Rimfire SS1 ultra in 22 mag.  I looked on the FAQ's and did not see if it was possible but I thought I'd ask the professionals.
As I was picking up the rifle I asked the shop owner what caliber I should get next for this gun.  He said what else is there but .22 LR or the 17 HMR ( Mach 2 was not out then.)  He said the rimfire frame is rimfire only.  I figured the people at H&R off set the barrel low or high so the CF pin would hit the rim.  looking at the brass it has a square firing pin.  So I put it out of my head.  When I realized the Versa rifles were made to shoot both I thought that a CF barrel could be made for mine by off setting the barrel.  Or could I have a 20 ga slug barrel fitted to it?   Have any of you done this?  Or is it cheaper to just buy a new rifle or slug gun?
After shooting Robert's Hornet a few weeks ago I was thinking another one would be a lot of fun.   I was amazed at the accuracy.

With the RF frame your stuck to RF barrels only , the versa-pac has the 22 LR chamber offset to line up with the CF firing pin not the other way around .

What can be done is have a 22 mag barrel re-chambered to a CF round like the 218 or a 17 HMR to 17 Rem. but you would need a CF rifle frame for it to work .
