.475 brass crumpling
« on: December 28, 2007, 06:27:16 AM »
Hello Everyone,

I have just started to reload some .475L loads.  When I look at the loaded round, they look slightly crumpled on one side or all around the case.  It is almost as if you can "see" the bullet through the case.  They chamber in my gun just fine.  Are these safe?  Have I done something wrong?

I am using once fired buffalo bore brass and cast performance 410 gr gas checked bullets.

As you can tell, I am a new reloader and want to be cautious.

Thank you for the help.

Woodrow

on a properly loaded handgun round with proper neck tension you should be able to see the outline of the bullet. But it should be uniform all the way around the case not just on one side. If you seeing it just on one side try taking a little more care to insure your starting the bullet straight into the case.
