help me choose a free wal-mart air rifle

 i have a chance at a free wal-mart air rifle   but i have no idea which to get  i know they don t carry anything
that is super quality but i am getting the gun for free so im not going to bitch too much

the ones that they carry in my area  california   are
beeman 1100  made in china $125  beeman will at no charge lighten the trigger under warranty
gamo big cat 1200  $149  spain 
crosman 760 pumpmaster 
remington airmaster 77 
daisy powerline 1000  looks like a good gun for the $99 price tag but i have no idea 
also i dont mind sending the gun to get tuned and accurized as that would be my only cost in the deal so guys
help me choose and can you suggest a good smith to tune up whichever you all suggest

 i forgot to mention  the gun will be used for garage target shooting and screwing around the cabin shooting squirrels and cans/targets

To be practical, you really don't need 1000fps to shoot in the garage. For what you are wanting to do, you need the variable power from a pumper.
The Airmaster 77 would be the best choice for what you are wanting to do. 10 or 12 pumps and a good head shot would be needed for squirrels, but for plinking and indoor target shooting you shouldn't need more than 3 to 5 pumps.

It's tempting to get one of the more expensive guns for FREE, but the Airmaster 77 will probably be your best bet for all-around versatility.

But that's just my opinion.

Not flameing anyone but for me, 1 pump is all I would want. As a matter of fact, that"s what I have. A under lever $50 Chinese something. Shoot's great!!!

I agree, I have a couple of Chinese underlevers and they are fun, BUT a Chinese underlever wasn't one of the options the poster has to choose from!

I really have no experience with the others but my Gamo is a nice gun very accurate and seems to be holding up well. I'd not hesitate to buy another if I needed another air gun.

walmart carries the benjamin 392 .22 cal. pump for $122.49 . if you dont mind pumping that will do all you are asking and more and should last a long long time .

the benjamin 392 is the best way to go. you get something that can kill most small game(from rats - woodchucks)  and from what i have read-ed and the few times i have used one they are really good. you have to keep your shots under 40 yards but you get a lot of kill power. One thing about the .177 it not a bad cal. but the .22 gives more knock down power and with a gun like the benjamin or any pump-up or PCP gun you can use a reg. rifle scope on them. most airgun scopes for the Spring Guns cost 150+ dollars( Leapers cost less) I have a 8-point 3-9x40mm that i paid-ed brand new 19$  on my 766 pump up airgun and it works like a dream.
