A quick Handi rifle introduction
« on: January 17, 2008, 12:40:53 AM »
Hello all.

I thought I would say a quick hello. I found a link to some NEF single shot FAQ information that brought me here. Looked like a bunch of really great info so I signed up to do some more reading and searching.

I picked up a 22 Hornet NEF at an auction recently and am interested in what I can do with it. Background on me is I make shiny things out of chunks of metal, parts for the M2 Browning .50 cal and a few others mostly. Machining machine gun parts for a living has refreshed the shooter and amateur gunsmith in me that had been sleeping for a number of years. I have been doing mostly hand gun shooting recently due to a lack of places to shoot 100 yards or more around my area but I am starting to build up my rifle selections and find time to travel to a family farm to shoot longer ranges.

Look forward to learning more about these NEF guns and meeting a few folks here.

Welcome Jason,... you could not have picked a better site to join.  And as far as info on the Handi, this is The place to confer.  All the members here are friendly and ready help.  But beware, once you get a Handi they are a lot of fun, and start to multiply fast.  Especially since you are a tinkerer, you should really like the Handis.  You picked a good caliber.  I've been after one for a while here on the site, but I usually miss them.  These guys are quick!

Welcome again, and be ready for a great ride! ;)

Hi Jason,
Dittos to everything that has been said.  This is a great place to hang out and you will learn something, the Handis are very addictive.  Have fun and enjoy yourself.

MidTN,

I ended 2007 promising a favor to a friend on his Handi...and now I have 3 others here waiting their turn!  Things seem to grow all out of proportion with these guns.  And for goodness sake, don't lock two Handi's in a dark gun cabinet...it's a scientific fact, they're as prolific as hamsters!!! :o
