Are these the dies I need?

Dale, i was going to ask the same question.
i just started buying my equipment, and i need a set of dies too, i looked and the pacesetter dies look to be the best Lee has to offer. it has the 3 dies of most importance i think, in that package. if there is something better, im sure someone will let us know, but if not then those are the dies i'll be ordering

I'm not sure I'd define them as what you "need" but sure they will work. I'm sure tho you can buy them from GBO Sponsor Midsouth Shooter's Supply for less money delivered than from Midway USA. Midsouth always has better prices and lower shipping charges.

Before buying new tho what not place a WTB on the Classifieds and leave it awhile before buying new. Most times used dies of standard type like that go for $20 shipped or $15 plus shipping on average.

don't overlook the Lee RGB dies. They don't have a shellholder included, but they are only about $12. If you plan to use the factory crimp dies the set you linked to might be a better buy.

If it were me I'd get the Lee die set with the collet die as well as the full length resizer.  They allow you to use brass that wasn't fired in your gun ( the full length resizing die) and to neck size those that were fired in that gun working the brass less and  supposedly a little more accurate as the cartridge fits the chamber better.  If you want the factory crimp die you will have to get that separate.  The Colllet die is just for bolt and single shot guns though ..... not recommended for pump or semi autos.

I have them for my .270 and like them.  The collet die was a little tricky to adjust at first, ....  but when all else fails follow the instructions
