Pics Tender 30-30IMP.
« on: December 27, 2007, 10:36:07 AM »
I use this one for deer hunting. Also love to take it out and shoot. The barrel is a 13" SS from MGM in 30-30IMP, topped with a Burris 3X12 scope. The frame is a blued model Duracoated by Dave at the Gun Garage. The grip is a TGR from OTT and the forearm from Gunstocks Inc. is called a finger groove.

Red dots on the Target are 1/2" dia.

Dave,

You're killing me with all the pics of your guns!  Especially since they shoot so well!!  I'm looking around the house to see  what I could sell to keep up with you.  Maybe I'll just sell the house move into a smaller one, buy a much bigger gun safe and start getting those purty contenders!

This year 32.5Gr. IMR4198 and 125gr. Nosler B-Tips were my hunting load.

32gr. of H4895 with the 125Gr. Nos. B-Tips give some fantastic groups. But I suspect this load is some slower than the other. But the 32gr. load is a starting load. With some load D the M.V. may be up there with the IMR4198.

I didn't get this barrel long before deer season so didn't have a lot of time to do much Load D.

This spring I will do more load D with the H4895 and post the results. I will chrony both the IMR4198 and H4895 loads to get a good comparison.
