30-30 cast????

Anyone handloading 30-30 cast bullets? Any recommendations for powders? Have used a Lee 170G gas check without good success.

38 grains of 748 will get you right at 2400fps, with no leading (I have used wheel weights for years), and if the bullets are cast well, with the gas check being pressed on straight shoot well.
I have also used 3031 over the years, and the same mold, since about 1973.
