Scope Rings

I plan on getting a scope that is a Millet Gold 3-12X44. I was thinking about getting some Burris Zee High scope rings for it for around 30.00.
1) Will these Burris Zee High be high enough when sitting on a .223 Ultra Varmint ?
2) Are these Burris rings good enough ? I really dont want to spend too much more on scope rings if I dont have to. If the scope sights in proper and all goes well then I will be leaving the rifle scope and rings untouched for (I hope) a long time.

the rings you mention should be more than high enough although I prefer millet angle locks I used med. millet rings to mount a 4x12x40 on my bull barrel handi ,  if you have a knowledgeable gun shop dealer he should be able to help you out after all if we don't help support them we won't have a place to buy our guns , ammo or other shooting accessories  happy new year jrhweldon

See the "Rings" link in the FAQs, it has a lot of great suggestions and pics of what others are using. I prefer Burris Signature Zee rings, mediums will work with most scopes but sometimes a little hammer modification is in order(see FAQs) depending on the position of the scope and size of the power ring/ocular bell, they don't require lapping and will not damage the scope or leave ring marks, they're $28 at Midsouth, a GBO sponsor. ;)

Thanks for all the help. I missed that part about the rings in FAQ. Im allowed one mistake per hour right ::)
Anyway from what I read and researched Im going to get high rings because it apparently wont make much difference in most hunting situations and especially in shorter ranges from 200 yards and less. I read that it can make a difference in some of the longer range shooting which I dont plan on doing. Also unless someone can tell me I was misled or misinformed (and please do) then I will be getting the high mount scopes because I also figure there shouldnt be much difference between the high and the medium. I would rather make sure I have enough room. Thanks again.
P.S..I do like the looks of the Burris Signature Zee rings.

Don't feel bad, there's tons of stuff in the FAQs, easy to miss something, the Rings link is just a little down from the bases pic, here's a direct link to it. ;) Using highs is a good way to guarantee you don't have a hammer clearance issue and end up having to buy higher rings, but most folks like the scope mounted as low as possible, since objective size isn't an issue on a Handi, high rings aren't required any time IF you don't mind bobbing the hammer spur a little, that will depend on the scope you choose. :D
