A tip for new users of MEC reloaders

I've got two MEC reloading machines, a Sizemaster and a 9000GN. Excellent machines. Here's one caveat: You will see in the manual many phrases like "such and such is pre-adjusted at the factory". Ha! Don't take their word for it. You need to check everything, and will probably make several adjustments. Here are the adjustments I ended up making on the new 9000GN (at least the ones I remember):
1) Resizer was factory adjusted to resize over maxiumum allowable size. Shot a couple of boxes before making adjustment. Couldn't chamber a few shells.
2) Primer feed timing
3) Timing of powder drop

Overall they do a good job, but just don't assume everything is perfect and double-check things.

And don't assume that you won't have to readjust it from time to time.   Check your powder and shot weights from time to time, and at least once every case or so.

I believe they need more adjustment when new until they "settle in" and hold their adjustments longer. I had a period when I couldn't get through loading a box of shells without something getting out of whack.
