In the last couple of months, I have seen pictures of a couple of SA's in 45 Colt that were cut down to about 3" barrels and still had the ejector housing on them. Round butted and were used for CCW. One Ruger and one Uberti, I believe, but I've lost the pictures now.
Just thought I'd mention it, as they are out there, but mostly custom ones. I've got an old Italian SA in 45 Colt that someone cut to 3" long before I got it, with no ejector housing that I sometimes cary. Great power in a gu I'm familer with.
