Being a lefty I know exactly where you are at.
When I was early teens my dad bought me a savage mark II. Now understand I love Savage Rifles, I own a couple and would gladly buy another, but that thing would not shoot a group. There were times I was ready to wrap it around a tree and almost did once, it is bar none the most unreliable thing I have ever owned. However I am convinced that I just got a lemon as a friend of mine has a right handed one with a $30 scope on it and it shoots great.
Last spring I walked into a gun shop in the town I was attending college and asked the question. "ya got any left handed rifles". The guy had a savage 30-06 and a 452 American. A week later the CZ came home with me. It is just an all around better piece of hardware than the savage mark II. The CZ is built more like a center fire rifle, where the Savage looks kinda cheap. Very accurate and has prettier wood on it than my Remington 700. My only complaint about the CZ is the safty. It is a Mauser-esque safty that works backwards from what I think it should. But everything else is top notch. I am even happy with trigger right out of the box. The only way I can describe it is as having a longer pull than most rifles but it is smooth. It is one of the best purchases I have ever made. Is it worth the extra money, ABSOLUTLY.
I am not speaking ill of Savage, but go with the CZ. You will not regret it.
