The servers both miraculously survived the fire. How we still don't know really. One was down stairs in the one room of the house that took no damage not even water damage. The other was in the office underneath Matt's desk on the floor thru the entire fire and water used to put it out. That was the second most damaged room of them. Matt's printer on top of the desk totally melted but the server came thru fine. No clue how.
The servers are installed and waiting on Matt to move the data to them. We have been working a test run with a new major sponsor for the site and as a result didn't want to shut things down to move the database until that is completed. I think we'll get a final proposal from them tomorrow. It's already clear to us it's not going to be what we had hoped for but I still think it will become the largest single income source for the site even tho it's pretty clear it will fall far short of what Matt had expected it to net us.
I am going to try to get him to move the database this weekend if he is over the let down from the news of what was expected not happening. It might take him a few days to get over the disappointment.
I'm sure we'll be moving this month tho.
