North American Arms smooth bore?

I recently bought a new North American Arms mini-revolver with the second cylinder, this way I can fire the .22 magnum and the .22 LR.  This gun is a smooth bore, it has no rifling.  It shot ok for its type at the range, did better with the magnum in the accuracy department.

They make a target model with adjustable sights, do all of their revolvers have smooth bores?

I have a Casuls Freedom Arms model from the early 80's that is a mini-revolver and it has a rifled bore.

All I have examined had rifiled bores. Was this a new gun? If it was used, it might be leaded beyond belief! I guess it's possible it could have made it from the factory without rifling.

I'd clean the bore and take a really good look at it and if you're sure it has not rifling I'd return it because I'm sure they should be rifled. It is not even legal to produce a smoothbore pistol unless it is a muzzleloader.

Does it say "Companion" on the side of it? These are a black powder cap and ball model.
I'm thinking you might have that one, as it would probably be smoothbore.

It is not the black powder gun as I put 65 rounds of cartridge ammo in it when it was tested at the range.  The black powder cap and ball version was tempting as I have been shooting the full sized types for many years and was wondering what a .22 would be like with caps and powder.

On closer examination it looks like there might be rifling, but it sure is shallow.  My other .22 rimfire guns are more pronounced.

 I have a combo 22mag &22 lr you must look real good to see thr rifling in it .
