Trolling motor repair?
« on: December 07, 2007, 01:59:51 PM »
I've got an old Minn Kota trolling motor that has 5th gear burned out of it. My great Grandfather bought this old motor in the late 70s early 80s I don't know exactly. I was curious as to how I could go about getting the gear working any ideas?

Thanks ya'll

I would think it would cost more to repair than replace with a modern unit. You can find a service center on the Minn kota website.

I hung my old one on the wall on the Mud Room like an Antique. I replaced it with a Bass Pro Shops prowler. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&partNumber=98207&hvarTarget=search&cmCat=SearchResults
