Look at the Hodgedon and and Accurate powder websites. They both list loadings for the 6.8 SPC. I have loaded the starting charges of h335 and 2230 in my 6.8 and have not gone past these beginning loads. Mild recoil and report with good accuracy are my results.

I use H322 and get good results from both rifle and pistol  if your going to hunt deer sierra 110gr pro hunter bullet is a good choice.

I have the Encore rifle barrel...110 Sierra Spitzer Pro-Hunter, 24.0 gr. H4198, 2.360" COL (.020" to 0.030" from lands), very accurate; took two white tails with one shot each.

If you have time, try the 130 Hornady or 135 Sierra. I just tried starting loads on the 135, 21.0 gr. H4198 at 2.450" COL with amazing accuracy. Will work on it some more to see what I can get.

Little to no recoil...I love it!

Good luck...

I have heard that you should avoid bullets heavier than 115 grains in the Thompson Center Contender chambered for the 6.8 Rem SPC. Does anyone know if this is the case?
I have a 23" barrel for the Contender and have shot 5/8 to 1" groups shot so far with one whitetail doe harvested with Barnes Triple X bullets. I will be reloading once I shoot all the factory rounds on hand.
