which powder for 35 whelen.

Getting ready to start reloading for my 35 whelen NEF  22 inch barrel. Gonna be using rcbs dies wondering what powder to start
with. Ive got a bunch of rem corlocts 200 gr to start, but will be getting some nosler partitions & some Barnes XXX  The corlocts will be for deer , the noslers & barnes will be used for Elk this year What powder do you guys suggest?  Thanks Jay

The load I have used with real good results is,
225 sierra boat tail and 54.5 gr IMR 4064 this was rem primers and cases.

Rl15 works very well with the 225gr TSX, mattparliament gets 2800+fps with that combo in his 22" Handi, I shoot the same load in my RMEF 26" Ultra. ;) The Barnes #3 lists 56gr start to 60gr max for the XFB, use their loading guidelines for the TSX, or contact Ty Herring at Barnes to see if he has specific data for the TSX, 1-800-574-9200 or email tyh@barnesbullets.com
