CLEM:  Steve's Reloading Pages shows the following for 85 - 87 grain bullets in the .243:

IMR 4350  37.4 to 45.0 grains

http://stevespages.com/page8.htm

Click on the Reloading Data Target.

Although I don't have the exact load info in front of me, my Ruger 77VT shoots tiny little groups with the 87 grain V-Max and IMR 4350 - as I recall, my loads have been from 38.0 to 40.0 grains.
Thanks, Dad, for taking me into the great outdoors.

Clem:  Have you checked out http://data.hodgdon.com/ ?  I know you were specifically asking about the 87gr but they do list the IMR4350 loads for both 85gr and 90gr to give you bracket points.

I just received an e-mail back from IMR they gave me a starting load of 43gr . I had already worked up to 42.5gr with no pressure signs and had average groups so maybe I will try another half grain or so, unfortunately  they did not give me a max charge.
