SURVIVOR FOR DEER/ COYOTES?

HELLO,
    i  was looking for a deer/ coyote gun on the cheap. i sold all my handis and started bow hunting. but leased  some land this year that has some big deer and lots of yotes.. will this gun in 308 fit the bill?  what kind of range does the 308 have? my pesonal limit is 200 yards . let me know what you think. i want to buy one gun for both and not be a handi holic  again or at least for a little while :D

The .308 will more than fill the bill. It will shoot well much farther than 200 yards.

The .308 Winchester is an alternative to the .30-06 as a do-it-all round. ;)

If you have any intentions on keeping the fur on the coyotes, the 308 will not be the best choice. Otherwise, it will slay them just fine.

Can't think of anything bad to say about the 308.

Arthur Brown has sabots for the 308 you can put any kind of 22 cal bullet in. I shoot 55 gr HP at almost 4000 fps with good accuracy. Make them yotes yelp. The 308 like the 30-06 is a very versatile round that you can do alot with. JMHO - F50

Simple solution for coyotes is to shoot NATO mil surp FMJ bullets. No expansion and straight
through holes.
