Golf ball verses dryer
« on: January 21, 2008, 05:33:02 PM »
A few pix of the dryer we shot at with my newly made GB cannon. The dryer was on the 125yd mark and a 1/2 oz to 1oz F powder charge, all projos wear golf balls except one lead ball. Only four hits out of ten shots not bad four the first test run.

nice shot of the dimples

all most missed

lead ball

The firing line is actually about 20ft higher than the targets and the balls kept rolling out so a little grass on top helped.

Hey EYES,

Is this the same cannon you showed in the introductory thread? If so how did your carriage turn out? how about some photos?  ;D

Did you recover any of the golf balls? were they in one piece?

you may want to try some thin material as a patch, that should improve accuracy,
Mr president I do not cling to either my gun or my Bible.... my gun is holstered on my side so I may carry my Bible and quote from it!

The same makeshift carriage I used fore the new years eve shoot. It hasn't self destructed yet.
