RIA compac
« on: January 30, 2008, 05:29:37 AM »
Thinking of getting  one  for some  carry use when I need something smaller  than  my Kimber. just wondering if anyone had one   and knew how well  they  shot  and worked.  I now it  will  take some  tuning  to get it  right

I have had a compact RIA for a couple years. I had to do a little grinding on the bushing to get it to go back on the gun once I broke it down to clean, a couple burrs made it next to impsobile to get back together. Once done though I have no complaints at all. The gun feeds everything I put in it without a burp yet and is more than accurate for self defense. I own 6 other 1911's from Kimber through Springfields, even a Army issue 1911. I carry the compact more than the others
If another came up at a good deal I wouldn't hesitate to get it.
      hope that helps, Mark
