I have a 17 fireball super 14 contender barrel on the way and need some opinions on how to scope it. No so much the power or brand of scope but on weather to go with a pistol scope or rifle scope. I have a 10" 17hm2 barrel I that I have a nikon EER handgun scope on and since it has no recoil I wonder if I need to have so much eye relief. The 17 fireball also has very little recoil and I plan to do most of the shooting off of stationary rests not freehand. Any one else using or have used a rifle scope on their contender handgun? Pros and cons?
