Problem with those is that you cannot view through the scope while takeing the video, you have to sight using the video screen.  Larry

The resolution isn't that great from reading the specs.  I didn't read the website but how do you record with this?  They don't mention any memory cards that would used.  I suspect that if you wanted to record the events, then you would have to supply a video recorder of some fashion and plug into the video out of the Trophy Shot.  More wires and connections, I'd be spending too much time messing with the recorder to see if it was on or not and then miss the shot and everyone would then be able to see that I missed the shot.  Somethings might best be left unrecorded, I am sure I could come up with a better story than the truth...   LOL

I agree that this is the camera, but from what I read on their website, I am lead to believe that you still need to have some sort of recording device attached to record your hunt.

In one of the Testimonials, the user commented that the news crew that was there attached their equipment to the Trophy Shot to record the shot.

Yes you would still need a recording device as this is only an "imager".  Here is a statement from their site about compatible recording devices:

NOTE: Only camcorders with video inputs are eligable devices for use with the "TrophyShot"-"Imager".


 
     To test if your camcorder is compatible with our system, connect your camcorder to a TV or VCR and try to record a program onto your camcorder. If you can record onto your camcorder from another device such as a TV or VCR through the RCA jacks, then your camcorder is compatible.

 
     The following is a list of camcorders that have the required video inputs for compatability with the "Trophy Shot"-"Imager". This list is fairly accurate, but if you discover a model that we have on our list that does not have video inputs, please let us know so we can remove it.
     Use this list as a helpful guide, but make sure to try the above test to be sure that your camcorder is compatible.

I really like this idea but the more I think about it. The more I realize it just is no really functional. I don't think you could shoot the rifle right because you would be looking at a screen. You could not hold it like you would normally because the screen would be to high to get a cheek weld. Dale

Heck you would mess with the camera so much that you would scare the game.

With most of my rifles I wouldn't see the hit anyway because of the recoil.  Now a .204 or .17 might be fun on p-dogs with this if it were easier to see and not a lot of cables laying around.
