Cattail heads. They puff with each hit. Bottle caps, just try to hit them at 25 yd! Empty shotshells. Pick up partially broken clay targets from the shotgun range when you are picking up the shotshells and shoot them at 25 and 50 yd.

Balloons are my favorite to practice at long range. Put them on trees and fence post, grab a range finder and shoot out to 500yds, with a good rifle its not terribly hard. Dave

Empty shotgun shells were a favorite when I was growing up.

Cracker. You don't leave anything that won't degrade or the critters won't eat.

My plinking is at gophers. But for targets for those who are unfortunate enough to not have gophers in their country, charcoal is a neat target. It explodes and is eco. friendly. I love shooting golf balls. Hit with a big bore pistol or even a .22 they fly in a most delightful manner. This is the only golf game I have ever "shot". They must be picked up when finished however

Fruits and veggies are some of my favorites. I buy the reduced price apples, oranges or onions and have at it. Great stuff. No cleanup.
