New BL-22
« on: January 31, 2009, 07:01:06 PM »
Hey guys,

I'm kinda new to the site and love it. I just picked up a BL-22 grade II today. The gun is in really good shape, just a few handling marks. I am going to hunt squirrels with it mostly so I topped it off with a small 3-9 tasco. Since I will be carrying it alot I want a sling on the gun. I bought the clamp for the magazine tube and the wood screw for the stock. I got the clamp on fine but really don't want to drill a hole in that beautiful wood. Just wondering if anyone else has done something like this so I know what options I might have. Thanks in advance.

Ya really need to make up your mind if you want to sling it or not and if so have a gunsmith properly mount that sling swivel. There is a leather butt cover with sling made for muzzle loaders that just slips over the butt but I doubt it would be a very good fit on the BL-22. I've never scoped one myself preferring to leave it with irons for easier carry.
