How Do You Mount a Ultra Dot on a Buckmark???
« on: January 17, 2008, 02:01:56 PM »
I just received my Match Dot today in the mail.  I am just wondering about how to mount it to my Browning Buckmark.  Are there special mounts that need to be purchased?  If so, how much and where can I get them?

P.S.
After reading all of the reviews about this brand of red dots, I think that I am going to be very happy with it!!!

If memory serves, some of the Buckmarks have a built in scope mount, picitany rail?

Yeah, you're going to need a rail if you're Buck Mark came with the normal sights and no rail.   Whichever base you purchase, it will replace the rear sight rail that comes with the gun.

Tactical Solutions sells two rails.   One has an integrated rear sight on it for $65, and the other is a regular rail for $30.  As far as I know, the $65 one has been out of stock for a long time.   You can also get a Jack Weigand base for about $30.   I liked the regular style rail as opposed to the picatinny style rail. . . . so I went with the Weigand.

Here's my Camper with the Weigand base and a Bushnell Trophy Red dot:
