Has anyone ever done this?
Get a .45Colt/.410 shotgun barrel fitted to an SB-2 receiver and have it re-chambered to shoot the Casull cartridge?
The barrel in question is 20 inches long, fully rifled except for about 2-2 1/2 inches near the muzzle where a choke for the .410 screws in. The "choke" actually helps stop the spinning .410 shot-load so it will pattern without spinning all to heck.
Anyway, it seems there should be enough steel to support the working pressure of the .454 Casull, unless the steel is actually too soft?
Anyone have any experience when the Casull in a Handi-Rifle? Or this [project] idea?
Perhaps the key to this project is the type of steel used in the .45Colt/.410 barrel, which is actually sold on a SB-1 frame ......
Thanks in advance.
