Smith in New Orleans?
« on: January 22, 2008, 10:34:58 AM »
Does anyone know of a competent smith in the New Orleans Area? It seems that they are getting harder and harder to find.
Thanks,
Tuna

Call Gretna Gun Works over on the west bank.  They should be able to hook you up.

They offer very few services any more. I used them plenty before the storm but they have cut back dramatically since then.
Thanks

Remember that anyone can send a firearm to a gunsmith or company for repair or customization and it can be returned directly to the owner. USPS will ship long guns but handguns have to go FedEx or UPS..  Brownells used to have a gunsmith registry, you might give them a call at the toll free tech line().
