10 days until I can pick up my new (used) contender!

Well I finally found a deal I was waiting on.

Bought  a contender this morning. It's an 1988 that had three barrels with it. A 14" BB in 44mag, 14" BB in 7-30 Waters, and a 10" octagon in .222 Remington.

This will be my second contender. Never should have sold the first one.

None of these are scoped yet. Next barrel will probably be a 22-250.

Not being smart just informative, The Contender will not handle a 22-250 Cartridge. Congrads on the Contender,,,steve

Yep, congrats.  I just ordered a .22 bbl for mine.  I went out and bought 400 rounds of CB Shorts today.  Looking forward to some serious target practice before hunting with it.  Sounds like you got a versatile line up of barrels.  Good luck with it.

10 days? Is that your waiting period?In Illinois we have one day on long guns and three days on handguns, that drives me nuts.

We have 3 days for handguns and long guns go home with the buyer at the time of purchase here in Wisconsin.

its always worse some where else. in New York state you have to get a permit for hand guns.??
