So you don't want my stock anymore? It's cool
Save up for the Choate.
I have Super Snipers, all 10X fixed and love them. The reviews do not lie. You'd have to spend triple to find a scope that matches them in clarity, repeatability, dependability, toughness, yada yada. As soon as you own one, you'll understand, I'll leave it at that. If the Bushy Elite 3200 10X doesn't stack up(arrives tomorrow according to UPS so I can finally take my SPS out next week), it's going back and I'll get another SS in it's place faster than you can say "I love Big Green!"
You may not like the 16X at 100 yards either but you won't know until you try. I may get a 16X for the .300RUM, let me know what you think of the 16X if you go that route. Regardless of what power you get, you'll fall inlove. Don't waste your $$ on the side focus model. save the $100.00 and get the rear focus one.
I'm not familiar with the Choates. I'm sure you'll like it and it's not super pricey either. I'm just so used to all of my heavy barrel Remmys coming with HS that I'm going to stick with them. Let us know how you like the Choate
