I was looking for a relatively inexpensive over and under (I hate to mess up an expensive gun hunting) and my local gunshop recommended the Mossberg.  Have any of you used one?

Scroll down to the Shotgun Section and look in the Shotguns and Wingshooting Forum and you'll find several threads on these guns. Most who've had them seem well pleased with the value for the money spent. I have no personal experience shooting them but they do look and feel pretty good. I talked a friend up in PA into buying one based on that and his misfired regularly doubling on him most of the time. He traded it for a CZ Huglu rather than return it for repair. That's pretty much the extent of my personal knowledge of them. But check the threads on the forum I mentioned for more.

Had mine for two years now- no regrets at all. Berreta or Benelli choke tubes fit it. Any other questions just ask.

I put about 75 light loads shooting clays through mine when it all of sudden doubled. Then it doubled every time. The dealer took it back. This one was a 20 ga. I can't recommend one from my experience.
