ok ya all ....heres where you get to point and laugh at me :D ....I'm gonna order a 7mm mag rifle barrel for my encore and was wondering if anyone makes an aftermarket recoil pad...I like the pachmeyer decelarator pads but i don't know if that is an option...not that i can't take the recoil but if i could spend a few bucks to save my sholder then it would help. its OK I got broad sholders

Welcome to the forum - maybe we should ask the company to produce a prefit pachmeyer decelarator pads for the Encore - they make them for Remingtons and Marlins. Just an idea.

I think Limb Saver makes one for the Encore.  Supposed to be real effective at reducing recoil.  Check out benelliusa.com or tomknapp.com  I think I've seen them reviewed/advertised there for use on the Benelli Shotguns.

thanks for the info guys...I called sims vibration labratory( the makers of limbsavers recoil pads) and i got to talk to a "real live " person right off the bat  .I spoke with julie and she was very helpful and provided me with a few #s to try to get one...One was cabelas special order dept.I called cabelas and they said that it wasn't a normal stocked item and they would call sims and get one and get back with me with the price.I will keep everyone posted as the 7mm mag stainless
barrel is on the way.I just ordered the factory one and i hope the accuracy is there.I have a 223 factory one and I know alot of people had probs with the factory 223 barrel for accuracy but mine really impressed me....I shoot a 1/2 inch group with mine until the barrel heats up with just a bipod.I installed a bellm trigger spring when i fist got the frame and i highly reccommend it to anyone.. catch ya all later

EncoreRookie -

Did you get that 7mm Mag yet?  I am looking at the same barrel and would be interested in your feedback on it.

SIMS Recoil pad

Encorerookie,

Follow this link to get you a Sims pad in a hurry. They are half the price of the closest competitor. http://www.ultout.com/simsvibrationlabratory-stocks&bipods.htm $22.50 plus shipping

I ordered two on the 6th and they arrived today. The model for a systhetic stock is 10031. Not sure for the wood model but they make s,m,large grindaway pads also. Best of luck with the 7Mag

:D Is there a difference between the synthetic and wood stocks?
I only have wood and Sims only lists synthetic.

Thanks
Bob

Try Limbsaver they may have a recoil pad that will fit it.
