About SantaDave
« on: January 05, 2008, 10:49:57 AM »
He has been going through a rough period for better than a month now. He has been in and out (mostly in) of hospitals and currently is in a nursing home. When he gets out, (hopefully in a few days) he will be moving to Idaho with his daughter, I think.
He lost his home, what little money he had and most of his possessions while in the hospital. I was told he still had his Handgonne, but I am not sure about his cannon.
I don't know when he will be able to get back on the forum but I hope it will be soon that way he can give further details that I'd rather not mention.
I may not be completely sane, but at least I don't think I have the power to influence the weather.

No address available at this time. His cell phone number is 1-760-224-3730. He could use a few phone calls to cheer him up.

I talked with Dave today, He is in the hospital again. This time it is in Idaho instead of the PRK south. He said that 4 days of sitting in his suburban was too much. He said that this hospital is much nicer than the last one. Private room and a good TV and plenty of nurses. He's improving.
I'll try to get a contact for him in the next day or two.

Jeeper,

Point out to Santa Dave that getting sick and puny is out of topic here, we just can't allow it and he has to get healthy and get back here!!

I am Santa Dave's eldest daughter the one in Idaho.  I have printed your comments and will take them with me to the hospital with me.  He is feeling better, but we are still very concerned and trying to find out the cause of his extreme anemia.  He looks TONS better.  As for an address for cards if you send me an email at leynas.heart at gmail dot com i will be more then happy to give you the address.  (Not sure of posting my home address on a public forum) His phone number remains the same and is a cell phone with him at the hospital.  They are not sure about when he will be released from the hospital it might be a while yet.  I will post updates as I am able to. Thanks to all for your concern and well wishes I know Dad appreciates them as do I.

PS. He still has the cannon it was in the car when i picked it up.

I heard from Dave today. He's out of the hospital and living with his daughter. He's able to move around the house with a walker. He is doing much better. Hopefully his computer will get set up soon so he can get back here.

Hi!
since my last post I've been back in the hospital we're still fighting gout and trying to balance my cumadin (blood thinner) level. my left foot feels like i dropped an 8 pounder on it!
mentally I'm better with all these loving animals around here.
I'm still weak as a kitten, what with rolling over being my most common activity for over a month!

Thank you for the notes & calls, I have really been in the dumps and of low sprits, they have really helped!
soon I will start physical therapy and to repair my cannon, and maybe see you guys next summer!

Thanks Guys!
