:D HI ALL.
Well thought I better check in once while I'm sitting here looking at this one eyed monster.
I have been kinda looking arround for a little acarage out in Wyoming, and been back and forth four times the last two months.I have found a lot of people out there I could call friends, nice folkes out there.
I been out pased the Wassenburger Ranch three times but never found anybody arround to use Kenny's range.Man is that a well layed out rifle range.I will have to make his next match.
I covered the Medicine Boe National Forest south west of Laramie looking for Gold and just enjoying the senery and fishing the streams for trout. There are a lot of Beaver ponds in that area, and good fishing. But do to the dry weather you have to keep a cold camp, apsalutly no open fires.I did'nt do much hicking this time, only took a five hour walk cross country but it was a well worth walk.I saw three moose a bull by himself standing in the willowes and a cow with a yearling about a halve mile from the bull.
That Forest has a lot of well maintained roads for a person to go that has problems walking.I would sugest you stop in Laramie at the BLM and pick up a map that forest has a lot of roads like I said and you can get twisted arround easy,so make sure you get a map.The roads are marked but if you dont know were your going you will be driving arround a lot finding your way out.
You campers-there are a lot of good camp grounds and a good sized lake for good fishing. And you nuts like me that like to get away with a pack GO FOR IT and strike out what ever bearing you want.Pack a fly rod and a few flyes and hit the many Beaver ponds,I think the ponds I ran accrost probly have never been fished. There are a lot of trout bearing streams, and a lot of beaver ponds.A few are six foot high with a lot of water behind them kinda makes your hair stand up on the back of your neck wondering what would hapen if a Earth tremmer would shake that pile of wood when your standing there on the bottom looking up to the water on the other side.
I did'nt see any Bear signs but I did see big cat track on the stream edge but they were old ones.
If you go enjoy it,it's beautiful, but pack light it's above 8000' and had frost on the tent in the mornings.
Lp. :D
Dont go were the path leads,go were there is no path and leave a trail.
