KAHR PM9 range report
« on: May 02, 2004, 06:34:24 AM »
I just got back from the range with a new pm9.  Performace was great.  No jams or feeding problems of any kind.  For a concealment weapon I was surprised at the accuracy of this weapon.  It shoots as well or better than many full size autos I have fired.  At 10 yds rapid fire I had no problem shooting 2 to 3 inch groups.  At 25 yds, which I might add is way farther than the pistol was ever made to shoot, I was getting everything inside of 6 to 8 inches rapid fire.  I'm still not used to the double action trigger, but it isnt too bad.  All of this shooting was done offhand, weaver stance, not from the bench.  Great gun, I was a little skeptical at first, but now I know this gun was worth the money.  Hope this helps someone out.
The ammo used was a handload of 4.7 gr bullseye with a hornady 115grXTP.  recoil wasn't bad and I had no problem recovering after every shot.
